Well there we go. I developed an Android App from Scratch in 9 days having never written Java or an App before. Thought I had a phone interview on Thursday morning, booked time off work and made up a lie about it. Turns out the interview is next week. Gotta renege on my lie now with another lie.
Fortunately I love lying so it's not a big deal.

Talking of secrets and lies Mrs Bystander got me a wedding ring to replace the one that fell off and disappeared.
It was her father's ring (he died when she was 8 ) and is rose gold which apparently is a bit unusual.

Just found out my hairdresser, Gemma, has had an emergency and can't make my appointment tomorrow.
I'm having Scott instead. I've had him before and he was great but he demanded I make conversation about Holidays and What We Liked Doing At the Weekend (he wasn't a gamer). He then told me he was glad I was chatty and not like those boring customers who don't like to talk so I was compelled to continue (he was the one with the scissors). By the end I was exhausted.
Tomorrow I may have to go for the 'huge trauma since I last saw you, now been struck dumb strategy'
(Gemma just talks a little to be polite and friendly then it's all down to the business at hand)

Yeah, I hate it when they ask. Every time Gemma asks me if I want my hair set or blow dried and I've no idea what either one is and I keep forgetting so I guess...sometimes I say can have the same as last time and hope she remembers. Other times I just watch her eyes in the mirror and say which ever one I think pleases her most, if I ask for it to be set and she starts to look a little angry or sad I change it to blow dried. There is also something that happens called a 'treatment' or a 'conditioning'. One involves my head being stuck under a huge drier for 30 mins with a plastic bag over my hair, the other doesn't. Again I can never remember which is which. I have to tell them when I book, so it's always a surprise to see what happens when I arrive. |
