As the original has disappeared I though I'd start a new one to bore everyone.  I suggest no companies that you work for/sell stuff or services to are named.  

Just got back to work after 2 weeks paternity leave (2 weeks at £123 ouch), damn what a mess, absolutely none of my work had been done in my absence, no stock had been ordered, all the money in the till has gone and one of my heaters had gone walkies.  To make matters worse one of the directors has been moved downstairs with me so I can no longer get away with not working all day.  I'll have to find something to do all day that looks vaguely productive.

Having said that it's nice to get back to work

Edit: Heater recovered, till money sorted out (used as petty cash), just stock to order and a very large pile of paperwork to work though now.

Has it been 2 weeks already?! Bloody hell mate!

The reason I'm moaning about being stitched today is that I got sidled with a relativly simple product set up that someone else was gathering data for. When I go to set the product up though, the data was shit, meaning that I now have to waste my time chasing for the correct data as the other person washed their hands of it.

And even though I went to bed at a reasonable time I'm fucking knackered and already want today to be over. Roll on next week when I can sleep in and catch up on some gametime. Knowing my luck the Mrs will probably want me to do some fecking housework though.

/rant.

edit - Also, the tension headache from those bloody jump maps last night still hasn't gone...

One nappy is nothing, we have just gone through a box of 100 nappys in the 2 weeks since Lucy was born.  That is 1 nappy roughly every 3 hours 30 mins.

I have a meeting tommorow with the managing director to explain why we are missing out on a shed load of work that's just gone to our rivals. I'm guessing that "because you hired your fuck-wit mate who made a complete arse of it" won't suffice. I wish I'd never took this wanky job.

In regards to this is tricky, but they actually have no right to stop you posting stuff. Anything you publish you are legally responsible for in terms of slander, libel etc. The only no-no is breaching any confidentiality agreements, if you havn't signed a confidentiality agreement and theres nothing in your contract they havn't got a leg to stand on. Its difficult to fight any threats they might make but legally they'd be in the wrong for censoring an employee (who hasn't breached contract).

Someone here has got into quite a lot of trouble for making a quite innocent and harmless remark about one of his company's customers online (not on this site) which the customer read, went ballistic and complained.  They may not lose their job but they are in a whole load of shit at work.  This post is in the public domain after all.

thats what i meant tricky, but in that case its actually wrong for the customer to hold the company in anyway responsible, any comments in such things are personal opinion and not the companies. That said I can see how it puts a strain on things if its known that such interactions may get blogged about. Technically nothing done wrong but awkwardness yes.

You could always move it into a forum members only section. A company/customers have no business snooping in privately discussed things. I dunno though you might have to go as far as clan members only if you want to really slag people off!

I think the threads fine if everyone just follows millis advice and don't get too specific on details.

I guess I was saying don't be totally afraid of it just be aware of the issues.

I  think there is a low chance of leaving the gig without a black eye and other slight but none the less painful injuries
