@mode: that sounds like they were focussing more on the management part rather than the stage bit. It's the sort of question we'd ask in our interviews.
Well, yes, but this was for a place on a technical course, focusing on lighting, sound, video, automation etc., not on management. Hence why I was a bit put out by the question. |

Not long back from Games Maker role specific training for London 2012 (Olympics)
Intense day.
Tried to go beyond my personal best...didn't work out well. Better maybe return to slacking *sigh*
Found I seemed to have missed the Orientation Day (2 half day sessions of 10,000 Games Makers at Wembley Arena with Eddie Izzard and my BFF Seb) and there might not be more. Was told didn't really miss anything; very American with a lot of whooping.

Major suck Mama, but the year doesn't have to be a waste. There's loads and loads of stuff you can learn without going to university. Find a topic you're into and get digging.
As for me, I stayed up until one AM doing the stupid assignment for that job. I better get a call back. I had to learn TCL. Who even uses TCL?

And yeah TCL is stupid. Got to be one of the most obtuse languages I've ever seen. From what I read the only reason anyone still uses it is expect and tk. And python has an expect module so...

copying deadlys example (who knew he was a positive role mode). I also got off my ass to win a playbook. Finally got a reasonably competent release on google play. Just realised bad input force closes it though whoops. Need to do a fix tomorrow.
