This will never drop in price hawt, Starcraft 2 is still whoopin 59,99 in the blizzard store I think. ...after 2 years! And this game has almost the same level of hype.

Whatever, I just bought it, couple of friends are playing it and they need a 4th so I chipped in, never really cared for this genre but the beta weekend was alright. Will probably play a berzerk.

I dunno about the Euro price but the uk price did drop eventually but only from 45 to 33, still overpriced for its age. It cost 45 on release because that was back when activision was convinced they could raise industry prices by overpricing all their games.

Yeah thats what I said, christ they're still selling the ancient WC RTS series at over a tenner still.

Still, I don't really see myself parting with £35.99 (tesco download) for a game on a whim. I'll probably wait for the demo.

Tbh, I think I'll just wait for Torchlight 2, cheaper and pretty much the same deal (if the beta was anything to go by). Having said that, I'll probs end up randomly buying when I'm drunk

The "demo" will be available on release, it's called the starter edition, though for the first 30 days you'll need a guest pass from someone who bought a boxed copy of the game. It will basically let you play the content that was available in the beta and public matchmaking will only match you with other starter edition players, but you can play with friends who have the full game

Agreed on the price; bought it a year and a half before release for £23 and I doubt it'll be cheaper than that for about 5 years, and even then if it happens to go on sale.

Had an exciting moment this morning when Amazon cheerfully informed me that my card had expired since I made the order, so immediately changed it to avoid giving them an excuse to cancel it.

First impressions are good, I'm digging the new leveling up abilities thingy and lots of nice little improvements, yet feeling like the original (Diablo 2 was the original, didn't you know)

Very disappointed by the weak story tbh, its your typical Blizzard bullshit, good guy who you thought was loyal to you becomes corrupted and evil and you slay him and in the end everythings gud. Another grade A work by Chris Metzen, its not like he completely threw Warcrafts story in the dumpster already...

And those graphics, ouch, the last act has some serious bad textures, feels very rushed and lazy IMO. Act 1 and 2 looked very great and from then on it becomes very uninspired and dull.

Just finished Act 1 on nightmare and it still wasnt really a challenge tbh, wizard just shits on everything, especially with a monk in the group who tanks the damage. The only challenging fight was Belial and even that felt like a cheap WoW raidboss ripoff (the theme is "Dont stand in the fire").

How can this game be rushed though abda, it's been in dev for 12 years. Not saying it doesn't seem rushed, saying it really, really shouldn't.

I know its been in development for 12 years but it doesnt feel like that at all. If you play through it you will know what I mean, this is barely a rich and explorable world nor a rich lore with lots of conversations, its just... empty. They even used alot of models and textures from Starcraft and WoW Im pretty sure. (Act IV has lots of zergmud)

Dont get me wrong, Im enjoying the game for what it is and its alot of fun playing it with a group of 4, but those 2 aspects (story for 5yr olds and uninspired leveldesign) kinda drag it down for me.
