Morning one and all. Ever play Diablo or Diablo 2? Did you ever find yourself becoming obsessed with the status of a red globe? Did you spend ages obsessing over the stats of armour pieses? Well Blizzard are at it again... http://www.blizzard.com/diablo3/The teaser trailer is up to the usual Blizzard high standards, and the game play video made me want to install the old game and create a barbarian again. Although I must admit to enjoying the necromancer class. The perverted joy of killing an enemy and then ripping their skelinton out of the body to work for you. Or detonating the corps of a fallen enemy. Where did I put that disk?

EA? Can't remember hearing about that, I know they joined with Activision a while back. Being an ex-Diablo, ex-Diablo 2, ex-Warcraft 3 and ex-WoW player I know how long Blizzard development takes, although the games that run on Battle.net are much better than WoW. I have high hopes

Can't really compare EA and Blizzard. EA is a publisher and owns lots of game developer studios and Blizzard is one development studio owned by Vivendi (a French corporation ).

Yeah, it's looking really good. I wouldn't expect it on the shelves until 2010 though. Blizz announced Starcraft2 this time last year, and thats not out until 2009

heard about this a while back. I hope it's as good as D2.
Also, they replaced Necromancer with Witchdoctor, or something.

Yeah I believe he's pretty similar, but doesn't look as cool.
If you think about it, he'll probably resurrect fallen enemies as zombies rather then skeletons and end up being pretty much the same but more balanced. (I seem to remember that if you rolled your necromancer right he'd be unstoppable).
