Does it really need a good story? The original storyline was "HOLY SHIT SATANS BACK! HIT HIM WITH A SWORD". the fun always came with building a charactor, finding loot and bro'ing up.
Just started act 3, and I'm sensing they're going to leave lots open for expansion packs. Good fun though.

I dont think it does, it just bugs me, if any other dev had done this game then I probably wouldnt care, but this is Blizzard and they have been following this exact same storyarc since Warcraft 3. For a game thats been in development for 12 years, they could have atleast come up with something more surprising instead they gave us a story whose twists you could see from a mile (if you dont know whos the bad guy by the end of act 1, then Im sorry). It just bugs me that Chris Metzen is still considered a "mastermind" for storylines, hes been singlehandedly ruining WoW for like 4 years now. Everything up until the Sunwell patch was fine and even Icecrown Citadel was something I can accept, but all this guy does is think about the next major character in the Warcraft universe that becomes corrupt in complete nonsense and then destroys the story by forcing you to kill him.

Oh I forgot the worst part about this gameI mean always-online stuff is something that doesnt bother me that much tbh but jesus christ its been 4 days since this game came out and I still have 300-400 ping not just in a group, even in freaking singleplayer. Its impossible for me to solo Hell difficulty right now because enemies just warp in front of me, which sucks because wizard relies on Disintegrate which is a line-skillshot, so when your enemies are warping around the field, its very hard to do damage on them. And the US folks are even more f*cked, from what I hear theyre having an hourlong loginqueue every night.

I was getting it pretty bad this morning, but luckily I don't have to aim shit with the DH so it's not really bothering me that much, asside from the fact I'm getting lag in a single player game.
I also got my first legendary weapon today.

Would like to but Hell is more work than fun till almost impossible on this latency, so NOPE.avi. Unless my friends build a group again (we actually have a really good monk) I'm putting this aside till they fix their servers, but right now this is just a fucking mess. |
