Play.com just put in a date, it isn't set in stone The Warhammer Online date has changed loads over the last few months and I've had it pre-ordered since it popped on there Most online shop sites put a fairly close release date on, but they usually change. Gameplay.co.uk has had Duke Nukem release date on there for about 3 years now, and that game is far from being released (and the release date changes every year) So when can I expect to see you online on D2 papa?

I was gonna Necro, but if people insist I'll take another class (my main used to be a frenzy barb). Last time I checked Papa had bagsied about half of the classes so probably nobody knows what he'll end up with

Got to love the Necro. Kill people and then get them to work for you! Bone spear, oh your dead! Now I rip your bones out to work for me. Go forth and kill. Oh, your also dead, work for me! Soon you have a huge army of bony warriors and mages, a big burny fire golem and cool spinny armour. Cue a smattering of corps explosions and the world is yours Happy Days!

For us heathens using vista, here is how to install Diablo 2
") Go to Start > Run > type regedit 2) Navigate to "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Current Version\Explorer\Shell Folders"
if there is no string in there called "Programs" put that in with the value:
C:\
so that make a new string then right click your new string call Programs and modify then in there put C:\
make one more called Desktop and do the same thing with the strings
and you can get the installation to work, game works fine too.

I already have registry key values for "Programs" and "Desktop" - but their current values are different to the ones you mention. Diablo 2 installs, but wont run for me. Furthermore, the patches wont install either. 1) When running Diablo 2, Vista reports compatibility issues. 2) The patch file proports to fix issues, but simply opens a command prompt and does nothing (when running patch installer) 3) If I ignore the compatibility errors then Diablo 2 simply does not run (silent failure - no game window, error messages or running processes).

I had no issues running Diablo 2 under Vista... Complete install from game CDs, patched up no problems, and playing without the CD in now. Hopefully you can get it sorted so we can get a group together

Tried again. The f*cker wont run, the patch does nothing.. What version of Vista are you running reVert? Did you have to do any special work prior to running the installer? Other than that, I can't be arsed with getting it to run beyond simple installs etc. I've spent too much time troubleshooting lately to be bothered with doing it for an old game too. If anyone wants my copy of Diablo 2 let me know.
