Jets, while pretty cool, never really made sense to me in the battlefield games - I never flew the jets much in BF2 - but it seems like you would spend most of your time turning around over the sea than actually doing anything and it means the maps have to be much larger so the jets (which travel pretty fast) can fit in the map.

jet room was never a problem, they were allowed to fly into the out of bounds zones and had more room than ground forces, and you could just decorate the out of bounds with standard sky box junk. Jets were lame as hell though. So many deaths where you'd here a roar of a jet and some rank 50 asshole has just dropped bombs on you and you have just enough time to look up and see the bomb about 5 metres above you. it seems like you would spend most of your time turning around over the sea than actually doing anything thats pretty much jets fault not bf2. You have to line up your strafing runs. I still can't get the hang of strafing in Just cause 2 and the jets in that are easy mode (although for some crap reason no bombs) |

Hmm, they seem to have nerfed the knife quite heavily. Not only do you need to switch to it, the stabbing animation is much longer.

stabbing registration was always notoriously bad too, sometimes youd triple backstab in 2142 but hit their body armour and do nothing but alert them
