You should look into changing the mx1000, its got pretty bad input lag from the wireless. I had one and it made a big difference getting my deathadder.

I doubt that's going to improve much -- I don't notice any difference when I'm on my wired MX400. (aka. mx1000 Dead Batteries Syndrome)

I guess I'm not really bothered about on the fly dpi switching. 3200 DPI could be enough for me, I know the 2000 I have on my G5 isn't really enough. I remember liking the Razer Lachesis' sensor but it's grip gave me wrist ache. Razer stuff all seems pretty wanky tbh. Hate the way all gaming mice are advertised.
THE EVISCERATOR 4G CONTAINS A NINE AXIS DUAL CORE SENSOR TO ENSURE YOU CAN DOMINATE ANY OPPONENT ON THE WAR TORN BATTLEFIELD OF YOUR OWN INSECURITIES.
It's called marketing. Unfortunately - everyone does it.

I know, but it's marketing that actively turns me off. I guess I'm not their target demographic, but I can't be the only one who finds it tacky.

bumpin this.. I just got a new RAT7 and I love it so far. Not played any games, just general use. Takes a while to set it up and get everything how you want it. It's got the exact same laser as my old mamba, but this one's wired (less hassle in the long term I hope). Love the idea of the hold for lower sens (fine tuning sniper shots ect) but I'm not convinced I'll use it regularly.

That thing looks horrifically uncomfortable. What with the gap underneath the base of your index finger.

don't notice it. It's completely adjustable, it's the most comfortable mouse I've ever owned!

This, really this. I can't see how comfort comes into it when using that mouse? Or are you just worried that you'd fall asleep at the desk?

They had those on show at i40, actually really comfortable if you adjust it to suit your grip (which is one of its selling points). Not going to win any beauty contests, but it's function over form (read: they didn't bother with hiring a designer).

I'm not sure it could have been designed very good looking without sacrificing some flexibility.
I'm interested how much dust will collect inside it.

One of my friends has the RAT7 aswell and he also says that its very comfortable to use despite the rather "naked" look of the mouse.

NO GUYS IT'S PERFECT NOTHING COULD POSSIBLY BE WRONG WITH IT I BOUGHT IT AND I LOVE IT SHUT UP SHUT UP
On a sidenote my Sharkoon Fireglider is pretty decent for a cheap 'gam3r' mouse and it comes with loads of accessories too. (which is what you buy a mouse for amirite)
