Current boss has just offered me an extra £125 a week and a company van to stay.
Turned him down, after all, if he struggles to pay my wages now he's going to struggle even more with higher wages and an extra van to maintain

Its a decent payrise, but like Milli said, if they dude can't pay him what he earns now then it isn't really a payrise at all is it?!
You made the right choice dude, WP.

Just had my interview at Shaake, and think it went pretty well. Though the guy wasn't kidding when he told me it was going to be "informal".
I had prepared some answers for the typical questions like "Tell me about yourself" and "Why do you want to work for us?". But pretty much was just the guy telling me all about the company, how it started and what they plan to do in Brighton, how they treat their staff and things I'll be doing. Most relaxed interview ever.
Training is apparently going to start next week, though he said they'll probably invite more people than they need to the training so not out of the woods yet :3

bah, still not asleep. Gotta set off for bristol airport in a couple of hours :/ On a related note, I'll be at Kielder this weekend doing outdoorsy things with some friends from my old WoW days, so no net connection or TF2. Also It's ridiculous how expensive the trains are, even with a railcard discount it's twice the cost to get from somerset to newcastle as flying. And it takes 4 times longer.
