did you really get 4 hats cheez? I would have stayed up if i could, but so tired and my firewall broke itself. It has profiles for games but it managed to delete the HL2 profile and for some stupid reason if you alt-tab to answer its permission questions the windows disappear! Just setup a rule to always allow HL2 net access but that was too much for my brain late last night. I've got one piece of refined metal so far, just 3 more to go :/.

I found enough to make 1 piece of reclaimed metal last night whilst keeping at least one of each item. Need to play more if I want to get me some hats.

the upped drop rate should last a day or something. Just harsh for it to last just a few hours. Valve still suffer american syndrome at times when consiering the rest of their players.

Now crafting's implemented I reckon the drop rate will stay high. Players will want to craft beyond the initial burst of surplus, and to get anything meaningful you need a fair few items. Previously it was just a random item thing- now it's an actual useful event that supplies a part of the game that has no other source of supply.

i've been playing for 5 hours tonight? the drop rate is piss poor. and it seems to drop off the longer you play? which isnt nice
