loooool final, you've come up with the same layout i use, class columns. I did realise today tho i'd put my kritz in the wrong place tho, looks like you have too . Blut is the primary weapon, kritz is secondary

That's an old layout, the new one is much more ordered (since I accidentally pressed "Order by weapon type", dammit) but yeah, it is wrong there isn't it?

I look at my backpack whenever I get a new weapon to order it nicely, with crafting it also helps since things on the second page are the 3rd and 4th screens in crafting.

I will continue to ignore the drops (mostly) and won't be bothered in the "grinding" needed to sort my backpack and combine shit to make weapons and objects.

Seems utterly pointless in the context of the game to me....

I wonder if Blizzaed are trying to take over the world? Infultrate Valve. Get people grinding and farming WOW style. Get more people playing WOW. Get more £9 per month off people. Build bigger mountain of gold and gems. Possably build Death Star of gold & gems!

What is the end result of crafting anyway? (I don't have enough stuff to get more than some scrap metal since I don't get drops. I can't evade rockets, but apparently I can evade drops).
The hats you usually get via drops? The weapons you usually get via drops? Anything special? Anything exclusively available via crafting?

The point of crafting is that you can reduce the odds of getting something you actually want, so say you want the solly boots: You craft a soldier token, a secondary slot token and a scrap metal; then you craft these together to get a 1/2 chance of getting the boots, instead of having to wait for a random drop where your chances of etting something you want is very slim.

To my knowledge there are no special only crafted weapons/hats.

Nothing has been stated as yet, only things we know is to craft weapons and hats (that are already available either through drops or achievments).

However I believe as time goes on more weapons will appear as well as other non-important items (jackets, trousers, trainers...)

One of these hinted in one of the update pics just come out for solly/demo was the 'Larate' Which is a super fast karate - perhaps a new melee for the sniper?

And for what? Why not just let people choose which kind of weapons and hats they want to get themselves instead of imprementing this overly complicated lottery for a system which usually gives you crap that you don't want? Say I check in the item list, that I want 6 specific hats. From that point on I have the same chance to get the item as before, but if I get one, it will be one of those 6 I chose.

Let alone the issue, that I don't want either an inventory, nor a match-3-minigame in a frickin multiplayer shooter. Man, I'm angry these days.

And while I agree with your assessment let's be fair: Nobody is forced to use crafting. Weapons will either come by dropping or by achievements (as it was before) and hats ... if hats are really important in a "frickin multiplayer shooter" than we might revisit the whole topic under that aspect

No you are right, it's not as infuriating as many other things but IT IS annoying, when you're starting to lose unlocks while in the game, happened to me a couple of times now and only started after the backpack update following the crafting. And no, hats aren't important, which is why I don't get why there is such a huge system built around it, with random drop system, then the backpack and now crafting. Just giving people what they want, for gods sake.

It's interesting, the gunboats appear not to be a soldier item in regard of crafting. At least I'm unable to craft three soldier items with gunboats among them. It does not go together with Misc either.

it was designed as a floating item between solly/demo
now it's in the same class as those event hats like the gibus and bills hat

you can craft 3 of them into scrap though, Ive done it plenty
