I don't think I will be giving them any money for this, pretty tired of waiting 6 months for a crap port. They could release with a decent port if they cared even slightly. If it has decent coop I might get it in a sale.

Must say, given the choice between this and SR4, I'd go for SR4 (Grandma Berath fights again, or should I say President Grandma Berath)
The GTA V trailer looked good, I liked the size of the world and what you could potentially do, but would we end up with some dodgy port?

I think GTA V looks pretty good, but after the travesty that was GTA IV on PC, I won't be paying for it.

Is it not the same engine? Would assume that the port will be better this time but I might be giving more credit than I should.
inb4 RDR is better anyway.

It's the same engine as GTA IV and Max Payne 3, Brahms. Considering Max Payne 3 was a good port (by my standards), I think GTA V will run normally.

Daily reminder to my fellow RDR Bro brahms that the game was 40% herding cattle with bad horse controls and horribly paced.

I didn't mind the cattle herding tbh. Felt really tense, had this feeling like "this is all going to come crashing down about you soon."
I obviously had a weird reaction/was in a weird place for that game though because I nearly 100%d it, only stopped because I didn't know what I needed to do for the last .8%. I never 100% games especially when part of it is riding around harvesting herbs or whatever.
I really bought into it on all levels and I haven't played many finer games since.

I never had that feeling but that was probably because Ive played through the game in chunks over 7-8 months, always got bored off when you got to the farming missions. Overall it was a wellritten game a cool world and a really cool homage to spaghetti westerns, I just wish it would have been shorter, it was definitely worth staying till the end tho.

re: port tho. When it comes to PC (and it likely will) Im very confident they wont fuck it up like they did with IV. Max Payne 3 like Torgue said is essentially built on the same 2 engines and that was one of the best PC ports Ive ever seen with raw container cutscenes and whatnot, the loadingtimes in cutscenes may have been a bit hideous but that might have just been a sideeffect of the heavy scripting thats going on in the game (something about a thousand animation scripts going on at once). I thought MP3 was a fantastic PC game so Im stoked for GTA. The trailer looked amazing. I will get it for my Microsoft XBOX360(TM) for sure.
