No, it's more, I don't remember seeing any blood in the beta. The question is more, is there any excessive violence in the single player.

battlefield has always been largely bloodless. excessive blood isn't needed but its still a bit weird to hit someone dead on with a tank shell and to see their rag doll go flying off somewhere. Contrast with red orchestra 2 where standing slightly too close to a grenade means i'm picking your legs out of my hair. I was really close to that last night it was pretty gross.

Hmm I guess they do?! Recent 18+ titles were pretty untouched with Gears of War 3 being the biggest surprise of uncensored games (since the first 2 werent even released over here). But then again we didnt even get the chance to buy Dead Island or Dead Rising 2 OTR on Steam. All I can say is that the USK (the department that rates the games here) is a very corrupt bunch. If you look at all the big blockbuster-titles that get through there untouched and then see "indie"-games like Red Orchestra 2 getting censored because you happen to shoot someones leg off, then its pretty obvious that big publishers pay alot of money to them.

But yeah Im not surprised that BF3 will be released here with no problems. It was never really a gory game.

So I started the pre-load of this last night at about 11:00 PM. Checked my screen this morning and Origin was no where to be seen! Started it up again and it said it had downloaded 0%.

I'll try again this evening but I'm not holding my breath. I bet their download servers will be rammed.

So by the time I actually get to play the game everyone will be perked up and will be able to kill me just using their "dead eye stare" perk.

Although this is far from EA's first digital release the download service was always incredibly slow, and this is their first major release on origin. I wouldn't be surprised if it falls over.

I'd be shocked if either Origin, battle log or the bf3 log in servers don't fall over. SHOCKED.

Didn't have problems with the preload and the speed is actually a bit higher than Steam. Doesn't help me though, since I'm leaving for a business trip friday morning and only coming back saturday noon. I imagine people will be level 30 with portal nuclear devices for main guns by then.

Bummed that from some of the reviews I've been reading, the destruction is actually less than BC2. They're all still positive but that's just annoying...
