My comments on scrubs are sadly true... the first two series were excellent, amusing and compelling. Then, as with lots of things, they put more focus on JD's daydreams which got far too stupid and silly to be funny. They also had to fit in an army of guest stars and didn't know how to script for them (wow... Heather Locklear is still niiiice).

Still, The Tod is a highly funny character throughout.

I also think that 2 and a half men is funny and so on but I don't get it why it is so damn succesful. There are tons of better series out there....

Its the kind of show I have running on my second monitor whilst I'm doing something I actually enjoy. I started it, so I'll finish it.

I certainly wouldn't watch it on TV when my attention is trapped and I could be watching almost anything else.

I don't have a regular job or income and yet somehow there aren't enough hours in the day for all the stuff I compulsively need to do (forums, webcomics, manga, books, tv, games etc etc). I don't think I'll find time for a normal relationship unless Piracy is made impossible.

How TV Ruined Your Life
In the first episode, charlie brooker takes a look at TV's approach to fear. Fairly standard charlie brooker comedy. Worth a watch.

i'm a huge brooker fan and was a little let down by this, something was missing. the year review thing he always does for screenwipe was brilliant though so i don' think he's lost it yet.

I quite like watching an occasional episode of Doctor Who. It's pretty fun.

The quality of episodes varies a lot, but Stephen Moffat's episodes are pretty consistently great- Blink got complaints for literally making kids shit the bed, and the two library episodes were among the best things I saw on TV in the last decade. Since he's now running the show, the latest series has had a bit less crap mixed in with the gems, and Moffat's brave enough to go with a couple of slow burning overarching storylines rather than having some bullshit recurring word across a single series.

Also, Karen Gillan.

I tried watching Doctor Who. I got as far as the point when they made Catherine Tate a main character, then I just said 'fuck this'. That said, Blink is an excellent episode and it requires no knowledge of the back story. I'd recommend people to watch it, even if you normally hate Doctor Who.
