First off, the opening to this game was actually amazing. not much happens but running through test chambers from the last game was very welcome.

the dialogue in portal 2 is, imo, far funnier than the original but the potato fixation is quite as funny as the cake one . the defective turrets had me in stitches.

the whole abandoned testing section was both unexpected and surprisingly good storytelling.

all the puzzle additions don't feel like they have been added for the sake of it, even the laser feels integrated well.

Only downsides are the loading and to some extent the length - could have seen the whole story taking place over a much shorter time but i'll let it go because it just meant more puzzles.

Finished the co-op 2 and a half times now, definitely more fun when you don't know the solutions but it's still pretty awesome.

Damn it I want to know who the shady character in the background of the Cave Johnson and Caroline painting was.

Amazing game, the level design and the writing were good. The character of Cave Johnson was really cool and I enjoyed the ending a lot.

I do agree that it was too easy though, didn't get stuck once

Just a recommendation: Don't follow any orders/pleas right away. Take your time, there are some hilarious quips for several characters when they are trying to move you along.

Just finished single player, thoughts on the ending:

Boy, I was kinda annoyed at the last bossfight but that moon sequence was AWESOME!
I kinda doubt "I just want you gone" will become the same hit like still alive, but then that was nearly undoable.
I didn't really like the singing sentries, but the companion cube was a great touch.

Hmm I thought the bossfight was really easy compared to some of the other levels (especially with the White gel). I kinda felt that whole moon thing was a bit farstretched but then again the whole game is so yeah it was epic as shit.

Well, it is explicitly stated that the white paint is made from moon dust

The graphics are really good, I also think they optimized the engine alot for alt-tabbing and changing videosettings, I hope they bring that to other sourcegames as well.

The explanations really annoyed me. Especially since they come back each time. :/

But not as much as the loading screens . There is one during the god damn

chase scene!

It gets really annoying when you play again for the developer commentary. Especially since it seems like the commentary is rarer than the loading screens :/

I LOLed about the loading screen after a

20 second falling down a tube with a potatoe sequence.

Though I have to say I wasn't annoyed by the loading screen as they only take about 5 seconds for me.

The game also run very well, except for places with too much liquid simulation around, like when two liquid streams collided and stuff like that. My PC really didn't like the Vsync though. Even on double buffered there was a very noticable mouse lag.

According to spuf the liquid lag gets fixed by reducing effects to low/medium.

4Players actually gave credit to the german sync and judging from their video review it sounds solid (allthough I would miss the british accent from Wheatley)

Really enjoyed the story but thought the levels were all pretty simple and became quite repetitive towards the end.

Thought Ricky Gervais had voiced Wheatley in some bits (humour and voice were really similar) then found out it was Stephen Merchant who co-wrote and directed the Office, Extras and the Ricky Gervais Show which explains that one!

Now onto co-op!
