Just finished it. Good stuff.
Apparently I managed to stumble onto most stuff, though I'm not sure whether I should've gone for GLaDOS' escape advice instead of sticking with Wheatley.

About the Ending...
I'm in Space!

I also liked...
the moon dust twist (what was that PING! noise when the portal opened?), and that they redid the gel introductory chambers into an Aperture history course.
The greater focus on exploring "behind the tests" areas was very good, still amazed at how vast that ApLabs place is. Humongous. Mad. Also the big fat sentry. Cheesy

I didn't like...
the potato thing, I don't know.

I had decided they were Chell's parents but the person in the portrait looks like a man in really really old fashioned clothes. Practically Medieval clothes.

I just found this copy of the ending sequence part with the turret opera.
Seeing it translated (first top voted comment) moved my heart again in retrospect.  Cry (I had just thought it to be gibberish, but it's italian actually. Go figure.)

It ain't over Till The Fat Turret Sings.

That said, the secret star of Portal 2 for me...
are the Turrets! ("I'm Different Turret", "Crap Turrets", "The Fat Turret", etc...)

The turret opera ties in as well
The fat turret is singing oh my child why don't you stay away from science. I had wondered if the turrets were rebelling by not killing chell and singing, or if glados really had put on an opera to say goodbye. Farewell opera to her daughter makes sense, as well as the whole not killing you thing. EDIT: the turret is singing "bambina" which is the feminine form of child, so while the direct translation is child (feminine) the meaning translates better as oh my DAUGHTER.
