Just finished single player, thoughts on the ending:

Boy, I was kinda annoyed at the last bossfight but that moon sequence was AWESOME!
I kinda doubt "I just want you gone" will become the same hit like still alive, but then that was nearly undoable.
I didn't really like the singing sentries, but the companion cube was a great touch.

I really enjoyed the game, great writing. My favorite part was when

Argh, goddamnit valve, can't you make ANY game work on my computer out of the box. Thank goodness I'm not alone in suffering from the "pure virtual function call" bug.

Coop is so much fun. Especially when I kill myself in a stupid way and GLaDOS makes Dibble responsible for that

Can you really blame them though? The amount of money they're making from the TF2 store *glares at disco* is probably obscene so it wouldn't surprise me if they try to wangle one into every game they make from now on.

Almost finished co-op, on last level, so dam awesome.

Just finished single-player. I was a very enjoyable ride and much longer than expected, too. Took me 8.4 hours, that's including the trailers and the Super 8 interactive teaser (about 10 minutes gameplay) so it's about twice as long as Portal 1. The humour got better, actually and some of the stuff is just plain random. It wasn't very hard, though. I was only briefly stumped in two places for about 10 minutes, otherwise the solutions were all pretty obvious.

This is a game that has much more story going for it than the puzzles. The first part I felt was the other way around. So who is up for coop with me? I haven't tried it yet.

Yeah, co-op is really awesome. Took probably 5 hours to beat.

quick word of warning. Do not be tempted to buy that silly beanie from the portal store. Apparently you get it for free when you finish the game so why the hell its on sale without telling you i don't know

Finished it, loved it. Only slight niggle is too many loading screens, but on the whole, fucking epic.

I heard the loading was because Valve need a new engine to make games in.

To be fair, for a 7(ish?) year old engine it doesn't look all that bad.

I think they should render the grass instead of using vintage textures that look terrible, otherwise there's a lot of improvements in shadows and lightings.

By the way got my fedora hat from tf2 in portal 2 somehow

Hmm I thought the bossfight was really easy compared to some of the other levels (especially with the White gel). I kinda felt that whole moon thing was a bit farstretched but then again the whole game is so yeah it was epic as shit.

My favourite part is that this game has memorable characters. Sure 1 had GlaDOS herself, but then again the game was so short that I just remembered her for being really talkative. In this game however I can easily requote and resee alot of stuff with Wheatley, even Cave Johnson is memorable allthough you just hear him but you can clearly see how his personality changed over the years. I actually felt bad in the end when I saw Wheatley floating in space saying "Im sorry", and thats great, I rarely get to sympathize with characters in a videogame, but its Valve, they can do that...

Oh and to top it all of, it has a REAL ending with no open questions or anything that might lead to Portal 3. Awesome!

The graphics are really good, I also think they optimized the engine alot for alt-tabbing and changing videosettings, I hope they bring that to other sourcegames as well.
