You guys are so pathetic ...  The problem with hats is that it individualizes the player. In my case that means that a hat would make me recognizable. "Hey, that soldier there with the" <insert stupid hat-name here> "is rubbish Teatime. Easy prey!"  However, with everyone sporting hats soon I will be the only one not wearing one, which will single me out just the same. So in order to avoid being easily flagged as easy prey I will soon be forced to wear a hat, so I don't stand out!   |

I just like having hats  The only time I pay attention to who is wearing what hat is if I'm jealous of someone, or if in a 6v6 game say, for example the scouts have different hats and one is much better than the other, then I know which one to be more cautious with. Other than that it's just for funs. |

Nah, they are useful. If I jump around a corner and find myself face to face with a Heavy, for example, whether I stand and fight or flee is dependent on whether from the hat I know it's John or not. |
