Huh?

Loverly white plastic box of flashing lights from BT has WEB based interphase. I've no idear how change the UDP behavior on it. The closest thing I've found is to creat a new rule in the "aplication sharing" menue for hl2.exe and open all the ports from the link above.

Yep, but the web based interface is very restrictive.

Basically, you need to open a command prompt and type "telnet 192.168.1.254" (I believe this is the default IP), from which you'll be prompted for a username and password. The username should be "admin", for the password necessary see this page.

Have a browse around the settings. It's ages since I've looked at a home hub, but you're looking an option labelled something like "UDP log". Have a play around, just remember what you change so you can put it back if it doesn't work.

This has happened to me.

It's to do with the router interpreting the increased UDP traffic as a DOS attack. I can't remember the specific details, but to turn this off you'll need to telnet into the router.

Thats a pretty crappy router. Not a fan of things designed to be "smart" but as soon as you use them for something the designer didnt bother considering they break
