I've heard some complaints that it has a lot of bugs as well. I haven't actually encountered one problem with the game so far, has anyone here had any problems with the game?

I just want an update on how Mark's race of creatures are going... just hoped they've stopped shagging and being anti-social long enough to design rocket ships!

So I've gone ahead and made my interpretation of Mr Chug as a Spore creature, it's one of the latest creations on my profile. I also happen to know that Mr Chug in turn has created a creature by the name of Junta.

If anyone else wants to make a clan member creature put the tag "whodaresgrins" on it, and post it here. I already have ideas for another couple, I might make a sporecast when we have a selection.

So, I make it to the space stage only to find it obsessed with mode's creatures (hadn't run into any before then). I first met the Alphas, who gave me a mission to go to another planet not in their empire and abduct an Alpha, only to find it was in the territory of a race of warlike Alphas. I brought the wild Alpha back to the friendly Alphas, where they described it as essential for a party and promptly declared it party time. Then I met the Mr Chug empire and defended them from the attacking Polkavian Gem Slugs in a Startopia moment.

I'm yet to actually meet Junta in game, so he'll probably have some Galaxy spanning space empire or something. I should also point out that I named him due to me chatting with John on steam at the time, and not because I associate John with crabs, even after his doctor's appointment the other day.

Sorry, it is a slight problem that the game insists on sharing every generation you create during the Creature stage rather than, say, the first and last. I met mostly Maxis creatures during the Space Stage though, plus a couple from another friend and the Gem Slugs. This is probably thanks to the fact that I reached the Space Stage before I'd really added anybody.

Incidentally, I just searched for "Polvakian Gem Slug" on Sporepedia. I'm quite pleased with my effort in comparison.

Oh, one more thing, I have an idea for a Papa creature. It is more than a little inspired by the Pyro.

So apparently there's politics on Sporepedia too. The four featured creations at the moment are versions of Barack Obama, Joe Biden, John McCain and Sarah Palin. The suggestion by the devs was to rate the creations up or down to indicate which way you'd vote.

Played this a fair bit actually. Sadly I got a bit stuck on the Civilisation stage and haven't re-installed it since my reformat all those weeks ago....

Just onto the space section this weekend, definitely the best bit of the game but like the rest of the game it could of been so much more if they hadn't aimed it at the "I don't really play computer games except for The Sims" market
