If a friend has it Hzza play their copy first. The first 4 stages don't have any replay value. The space stage isn't too bad but the problem with the game as  a whole is that it tries to be 5 different games in one and doesn't do any stage particularly well.

I really need to fix up my computer more. Then I might get this and resist the urge to make my creatures resemble rude body parts.

I actully had a go of the Creature Editor and wow, that was possibly the most creative fun I have ever had on my computer. Sheer genius.

Ok, well I've played through Civ stage now. It's definitely one of the weaker parts of the game, but at least they have the decency to provide a "Press here to Win" button when you've taken over six cities. Cheesy

I might be rubbish but I'm finding Spore quite hard (!). I'm on the second stage and my creatures a) don't want to make friends b) can't fight and c) keep having sex all the time. In fact it's exactly like my real life, apart from all the sex.

The worst thing is that the creatures lead you along, you think you're making friends with them, and at the last second they're 'ohhh ' and give you this look of crushing disdain. It's such a disappointment. I got repeatedly beaten up by a giant pear with legs last night, this should not happen.

I think they've decided that, hey, why bother meeting other species when you've got all you need back here. Pretty sure that Spore is encouraging incest - two of them will have a baby, and then in no time that baby is making sexy face at the elders.

I've taken up baiting enemy creatures, and then running back to that nest full of giant bear creatures with a pathetic 'help me' look on my face, but the stupid idiots just watch while some angry lizard skunk takes out my entire tribe. For once, I'd give good money for a sentry gun.

Aquired Spore over the weekend, just got onto the creature stage, I'm quite enjoying it at the moment.  I think, like the Sims it's best played in small doses.
