ROAROOOAR RAAAGE FLAAAME >:3 *grabs pitchfork*
The stealth is truly a fine work of art. I played all the missions stealthy. Hella lot better stealth than any Splinter Cell game I've played.
I'll get you to explain how the Deus Ex stealth system works when you get back then. I'd much rather take the stealthy option.

Makes me think of the man who got a dog a cat and a mouse to balance on each others backs.

I'll get you to explain how the Deus Ex stealth system works when you get back then. I'd much rather take the stealthy option. It boils down to this: 1) Explore lots early on - get lots of multi-tools (they allow hacking and access to systems / places that take you around the major confrontations). By hacking, you also sometimes get key codes or door access codes and passwords that you need, and you can disable cameras and security devices too. 2) Some addons / grenades can be deployed against guard robots allowing a distraction to be created. 3) Go for the mods / upgrades that allow for stealth / silence and speed.

Yeah but I mean the actual I'm hiding from this dude and am being stealthy, oh wait he can see me wtf?
It was never obvious to me like in most other stealth games =/ The stealth training missions I remember being really frustrating as well.

But there was no "true" stealth in Deus Ex? It wasn't like thief where you stood in a dark place and went invisible! lol

Whilst I do think that light/dark systems are a pretty valid form of stealth game (Made more sense in thief, seemed demented in splinter cell that EVERYWHERE had dark shadowy walls. Including CIA HQ) I also remember the stealth system in DeX being pretty consistent. I certainly used it and there's something to be said for first person stealth games.

Top tip: Don't let people see or hear you (works in real life too!) PS. The hacking to turn off CCTV etc definitely helps

Let me elaborate, then. Do not shoot those people or make loud noises behind their backs, that might alert them to your presence.

Oh for the love of god I hate you all.
I've explained I like stealth games yet I was unable to understand how stealth in Deus Ex was supposed to work!
Now excuse me while I go bash my head against a wall! xD
