Working pretty much solidly at the moment, 11am to 11pm constantly on my feet. But overall, bar work is tough, but I'm enjoying it :3

Last day at work, mega busy, my replacement failed to persuade me to stay, finished job, said goodbye, went home, moved all sofas out of living room, got half a new sofa in, baby hates it and screams, got the other half in, more screams, squeezed a massive leather sofa into living room, moved old sofas out into the front garden, moved new sofas into pleasing configuration to wife and baby, told to move more furniture into different configuration, refused, put  kids to bed, ordered Chinese takeaway, waiting for Chinese takeaway.

Just got back from the cinema. Me and my brother watched "Jackass 3D". I thought they'd defo run out of ideas after the 2nd one, but surprisingly it turned out very fresh and good. Id say, 15% of the skits were just remakes of the show but more extreme, so 'twas okay. The 3D-effects were awesome (the part where they shot dildos right at the camera actually made me duck under my seat once ).

All in all, a good movie. If youre a fan of Jackass or even the old CKY movies (like me), you cant go wrong with this

Heh, Women, no concept of the optimal seating arrangements for TV viewing / Surround sound sweet spots. If it was left to my mum she'd probably have the TV in the conservatory for maximum glare.

Woke up today (on a Sunday) thinking I've got to do this, this and this for work... then I remembered it was no longer my problem and was happy.

So after much cocking about I've managed to change all the clocks. Although my body clock is still out of sync.

It also occured to me that I haven't used the VCR in about 2 years. In fact all my videos are up in the loft. So I had fun playing the game of "hunt the wire" and also spiriting it off to the loft.

Then my attention was turned to the PC's speakers. The bloody volume control has been an absolute swine for ages. I know two other people with the same make and model of Creative speakers, and they have developed exactly the same fault. It's either too load or too quiet. Or it will abondon the mid range, or even change it's own voloume. So a bitof searching around on various WEB sites I desided to bimble off to PC World and have a look at some speaker systems that are out of their boxes. Some how I managed to spend £70 on a 5.1 speaker system. Not entirly sure what happened there. So back home and more fun with the "hunt the wire" game. So I'm now the happy owner of a 5.1 speaker system by Logitech. The rear right speaker is a bit of a problem. No where to put it properly except for plonking it on the radiator. Not a teriably good location. Also the wire is a bit of an eye sore. Might just revert the sound card to 2.1 and decomission the two rear speakers.

So all in all a good day. Now a night of pretending not to be in, as I have sod all to give the kiddies that come to my door. Except for maybe cigars. In all honesty, they can buy their own.

I've spent near enough all day in bed due to a nasty case of manflu; at 3am last night I nearly died thanks to a massive coughing fit in which I'm sure I coughed up a rugby ball.

It'll be touch and go if I make it through the night...

Came back from bar work shenanigans yesterday. Had a pretty awesome week, tiring work but I enjoyed it. And now I can start applying for bar jobs in brighton :3

Also came back to our new kitchen being finished looks awesome. Carpet guys were in today to do the last bit of carpeting so it's all looking groovy. just waiting on a few more bits (including a sofa that's over a month late now) then the flat should be all done

Also had an interesting event tonight. We put our new washing machine on for the first time and let it run whilst we were watching TV in the other room. After a while we could hear what sounded like a pneumatic drill going in the other room. Went in to find the washing machine halfway across the kitchen, had snapped a base board holding it in and was slamming against the oven (seems it thought it was "hot"......). Turns out it was cos some transport screws weren't removed when it was installed. but tis all sorted now. Just need to clean up some scratches and replace the base board.
