I went to pick at mate up from Gatwick at mignight last night; worst trip ever. Her flight was delayed for an hour so I was sat on the floor in arivals drinking Red Bull and mentally murdering the armed policemen that seemed to be in abundance for that time of night until I noticed that I'd sat in a splat of melted chocolate...
When her flight did finally land and we got on our way home a lorry kicked up a big dust cloud which contained a stone which chipped my windscreen in 2 places and then to top off the perfect night I got flashed by a speed camera for doing 35 in what I thought was a 40 zone, but turned out to be a 30 zone.
Got home at 2am, couldn't sleep until 3.30am from all the Red Bull I dun drunked and now feel like a sack of shite this morning. Sorry, no more favours from Hizzy for a long long time bitches.

That sounds lame Hzza - have an applaud from me as well. This week has gone nice and quickly - I guess because I'm settling in a bit more and finding myself more things to do than I did to begin with. I actually know what I'm trying to do with my project now - which is a plus. Also...working people...what do you do in this situation: It was suggested I talk to the sales person at the company who works Monday/Tuesday to get some information on sales figures etc. My line manager pre-warned him I would be going to speak to him and on Tuesday morning I went to go and see him. He said he was busy and about to go into a meeting but he would come and find me later to talk. He never did. Now he won't be in until next week - what do I do? Just try again and hope he can see me? In other news - the last (hopefully) of my watercooling stuff should arrive today - Yay! |

Sales people are dicks tbh, I wouldn't warn him you're coming, just turn up unannounced around lunchtime and say you just want to introduce yourself, it'll only take a second etc. Then with the niceties out the way drop an "Oh yeah, btw, have you got the sales data whilst I'm here". Try and be civil but forceful and if he tries to fob you off again say you'll come back in an hour or so, if he can't do that, get him to suggest a time. Try and trick him into making time to see you basically. If he still tells you to piss off, kick him in the balls and steal his laptop  . edit - Sorry sales people btw, that was a massive generalisation, I'm sure some of you are nice enough . |

Talking of salesmen I've just sold £7500 worth of double glazing to one customer. This probably means I'll get paid this week.

When you get a reply, create an outlook meeting and send an invite. If it doesn't go to plan, repeat the above until it does... |

Smashed myself in the face just under my right eye with a length of metal. Wondered why every customer (these are builders who are not normally fazed by minor injurys) was asking if I was ok. Turns out I have quite a dramatic black eye and a large cut (which had bled profusely) under my eye.
No wonder it hurts.

So Jen's getting a new PC and in it's current state sounded pretty sexy (i5 processor, 4Gb dual channel RAM, ATI 5850 GFX etc), but it waws supposed to have arrived by now. Turns out the people she was buying off have run out of the i5s, the PSU she wanted and the keyboard. So they're upgrading those for free. So the bitch is now getting an i7 for the price of an i5. -.-
