BT engineer fixed my phone line today  he even had to climb up the telephone pole. I have dial tone and my Be Box hurry up Thursday activation! I like the little full metal jacket reference inside the packaging. "This is my Be Box, there are many like it but this one is mine. Without me my Be Box is useless. Without it I am useless." Also telephone poles are stupid I don't even register them most days but the idea of hanging telephone wires across the street from what is basically a tree is ludicrous! Thats carrying my internet that is. Fuck the tories and this austerity bullshit I want fibre optic linkups to my house now. |

It's not just a film reference, it's a real thing that all US Marines do. Poles aren't going away anytime soon, they are actually one of the cheapest ways to get fiber into peoples houses. Check out Japan:  They have building regs there so when a house is built there are chutes built into the walls for telecommunication cables, so nobody has to drill through your walls to get a cable in! |

Just inadvertantly played window frame dominos. Managed to knock every frame in the factory store over. Was spectacular, noisy and there was suprisingly little damage.
Hopefully they won't let out there again and get the guy who's job it is to sort out the horrific mess out there to do it.
