Just had to say goodbye to my first daycare kids (the siblings) as they will go to the daycare center from tomorrow on   That is the bad part of the job..  (and changing dipers of course)

I just had a proper pant crapping moment. I look outside my window to see the fuzz being led into my building by the guy who manages my student accommodation. I'm then under the assumption that he's here to tell me I can't come to the end because 2 years ago I was caught with class A drugs on campus.

Turns out he's not. After running and crying to my woman, she informs me that last night my housemate (the crazy one whose soundcard I occasionally sabotage if you've been following the tales of me) got really drunk, went out, got more drunk, was accidentally pushed over by some guy and one of the guys who obsesses over drunk girl went for him, beating the shit out of him. Somehow he didn't get arrested but the guy who accidentally pushed her did. The fuzz are now here taking a statement from her.

So, I wasn't around much last week because of theatre work. Specifically, Tuesday through Sunday I was Tech Directing a production of Brassed Off. Which meant 9am til 11pm days. But got through it, and the after party is in about an hour. Basically, if anyone thinks theatre isn't cool, I don't care, the parties are f'ing brilliant.

Craziest/best couple of days ever...

Clare May Ball was amazing, the whole college was transformed to look like something from Arabian Nights, and there were camels outside the front gate. Oh, and it was all inclusive, so I just thought of everything as being free, so I had tonnes to eat and drink. I also nicked a crate of leftover stuff.
The headline act was Faithless, who played an awesome set.
I played trumpet in my Jazz Band, Colonel Spanky's Love Ensemble, at the Ball. This was great, getting paid £40 for an hour's playing of some really fun jazz, funk and soul covers. Not least because Maxi Jazz (Faithless frontman) came to watch us play, and chatted to our singer afterwards to say how good he thought we were. Mind blown.

Got back in at 6am, slept til 4pm, then got up and went for a barbecue in the sun with about 20 friends, then went to watch the Footlights review with everyone. This was great, and included the line "he touched every one of us, not with his hands, or with his penis, but with his maths". We then decanted to the pub for a couple of hours.

I love Cambridge now that first year is over xD

Any complaint should initially be made (in writing) to the bank. If it's not resolved in 8 weeks, you should be directed to the Financial Services Ombudsman.

When complaining, state your complaint clearly and what you want done to resolve it.

Ouch, Banks can be bastards for that. Never had any issues myself but my housemates GF has no end of problems with them.

I've just spent 2 weeks inputting data into our new window pricing system.  Got to the point where I had to ring the software manufacturer's tech support and was very pleasantly surprised at how competent and efficient they were.

Then I found out how much they were charging us per month to lease the software. (about £200)  For that amount of money I expect competence, efficiency, choirs of angels, divine intervention and someone to of already done the work I have spent 2 weeks doing.
