As some of you might know, I am currently in my third year of University, and as part of that I am required to do a report on a subject of my choosing. My final report looks at how players interact with games, and how games could be improved by adapting themselves in real time to be more effective to the players current emotional state.
The point of me telling you this is that as part of the project, I have to gather data to test my theories; namely players heart rate. Well today I got my hands on my heart rate monitoring equipment, and decided to measure myself playing TF2. I thought you guys might be interested in looking how how heart rate increases and decreases during gameplay. Below is the results from 1 round on Freight as Scout, with our team winning without dropping a Control Point.

My Heart Rate peaked at 112 (when I was about to get a 10 killstreak) and at its lowest was at 60. I thought it was interesting, and it'll be fun to see how my testing effects other people.
