So how was my day...well considering my car is in the garage being looked at I had to get the train to work. It took me 20 minutes to walk to the station, 9 minutes on a train (that was 3 minutes late) and then another 25 minutes to walk from work from the train station. This whole journey was done IN THE POURING RAIN. I was like...hmm..it's wet outside - so I wore jeans and put my work trousers in my bag and wore a pretty waterproof snowboarding jacket.
The return ticket for the journey was £6!! - I could drive for like 30-50 miles for that much - let alone 9 miles (and have to walk for 45 minutes as well) which takes 15 minutes in the car.
By the time I got to work (and even though I got up half an hour early to get there in time) I was absolutely drenched as all the water ran off the jacket into my jeans and my feet were wet and cold.
Opened my bag to put on the work trousers and my bag was soaking wet and my trousers had wet patches *sigh*. My boxers were also wet so I went commando for the morning

The morning went by pretty quickly, but my feet were freezing all day. Next I had my big management committee meeting for me and the other associate doing the same scheme, but looking at a different part of the business. We each have to have a meeting with the overall supervisor and she went before the meeting. My underwear had dried out by then so I put my pants back on. Anyway..meeting starts at 2pm and we both have to give a presentation etc. - her presentation/discussion/etc. goes on until 4:30. I give my presentation which was much much shorter and the meeting is finished by like 5:15pm. The other girl then went back in to talk to the supervisor to carry on their meeting!! I then finally had *my* meeting with the supervisor just in time for when it was time to go home!! The meeting also meant that I missed the phone call from the garage telling me the state of my car and to tell them to fix it or not so I don't have my car for tomorrow either.
There were nice biscuits though. Fortunately someone from work felt sorry for my epic train journey and gave me a lift home and has offered to take me to work in the morning (although an hour earlier than I would go in).
Anyway...to sum up:
- Got wet, went commando.
- Long meeting, late leaving work because of other person's presentation & talking with supervisor.
- Nice biscuits, lift home & cold feet.
