I assumed it can happen with any craft? A specific recipe would spread around the internet within seconds.

But I guess the reset time will be set so that it's perfect for american players and once europeans start playing all wrenches are gone Wink

Frontier Justice
  • 50% smaller magazine than the standard shotgun
  • Doesn't random crit
  • Instead, gets "Revenge Crits"
  • Engineers gets 2 crits for every kill their sentries racked up before destruction and one for ever assist
  • When Engineer's sentry is destroyed (either through enemy action or self-destruct), the Engineer receives bonus crits with the Frontier Justice

I dunno. I like the idea, but I'm not certain it's a good upgrade for an offensive engi. Timing seems very crucial

I had the theory it might require you to be under attack while crafting ("who fought ... while pressing the CRAFT IT button"). Tried that, but didn't work. But on the other hand if the daily quota was full this theory might not be disproven yet.

Ah great. When I crafted all my stuff today, smelt reclaimed metal still worked, so I guess I didn't have a chance to begin with. Screw you Valve :/

Don't think this is particularly aimed at the offensive engy. On offense you often don't get that much kills to make the FJ count. On the other hand on defense you can easily rack up kills making the engy much more powerful to counter attacks, especially when his sg is destroyed.

Yeah, but a defensive engi often dies with his sentry.
Though you're right, he doesn't need random crits, and if he comes away he could easily open a big can of whop-ass with his (up to, with a full magazine) 3 guaranteed crits.
Might finally motivate some to abandon ship once in a while.

Or more, if he's able to reload and has the necessary kills. If the damage model is the same we are talking about 180 damage per shot!
Of course that makes defensive oriented maps (dustbowl, goldrush) hell to attack in the future Sad

I guess it's to reward an engie who knows when to hold them, but also when to fold them. When to walk away and similarly, when to run.

But yeah, this seems to make getting the momentum for a big attack harder. (Take down the sentry, run out of uber, get iced by irate engineer with crits.)
