Cant decide, Skyrim:

I never played any of the original Elder Scrolls series, I didn't enjoy Fallout 3, I semi-liked Shadows of Chernobyl.

Would I like this?

I've literally just unwrapped Skyrim and I'm in the exactly the same situation as you are, so I'll let you know.

EDIT: Though I did enjoy fallout 3.

If you dont like a game as openworld as Fallout 3 or New Vegas you will get bored by this real quick Mama, if this is the criteria by which you didnt like those. This is just more openworld"ish". I would say its equally storydriven as Stalker, my personal gripe with Skyrim and why I dont play it atm is that they overthrow you with so many story and sidequests, unless you invest multiple hours a day you can lose track very quickly which happened to me now so when I wanna play this again Ill probably start a new save but that will mean Ill have to dedicate a few days to it. Dont get me wrong thats not a bad thing to do but it comes with the cost of you dedicating 99% of your daily gaming time to this one game which I dont do, half my playtime consists of playing LoL with friends

if you have the time its worth it. F3 was garbage by comparison such a dull boring world, its still fundamentally rpging but its the best rpging there is. Don't bother getting it on steam though, as has been said before its miles cheaper on amazon even with the sale discount, plus its steamworks so a retail copy will go on your steam account anyway.

Jeb of minecraft just tweeted that he waited to buy skyrim in a steam sale but why??? Steam sales are still really terrible compared to amazon for new games esp if steamworks.

Skyrim is the BAWWWWWWWWS - christ I couldn't play Oblivion for longer than 5 minutes but this game is the closest thing to perfection since I played Ocarina of Time.

I'm genuinely waiting for Bethesda to jump into the MMO market, as it would be the don of all games ever.

Hell no. I think Bioware has prooven that a good RPG developer shouldnt jump on the MMO bandwagon. They should focus on the next Fallout (which you can hardly turn into an MMO duh (not counting Interplays Fallout MMO here which Im gonna pass on anyway))

blizzard did that and now they only make bad games . j/k but sc2 did take a bit too long while they pumped the wow udders.

Hawt skyrim is amazing I just wish it had horse interaction anywhere near the zelda series; which is disappointing, need horse whistle and horse combat. OOT had better horse interactions like 13 years ago.

Mods will fix it soon, there should be something in Jan when the tools are out and I suggest looking then because while the game is amazing there are still a few holes that need plugging.
