Yeah, I'm likely to drop the simoleans on that pre order deal too. Who else?
Questions I still have about the game:
Commander's role? Squad stuff? Voice comms?

preordered. personally i'm not bothered about the commander role, command was always boring and usually so removed from the rest of the game. It annoyed me that some servers would kick if you did anything but stare at the map all day long, sometimes fighting commanders were pretty badass.

I don't want to do it, but I like the idea of a commander being around, and yeah, multitasking combat commanders were quite fun.
It's not a deal breaker, I'm just curious.

being a combat commander was the best way to get the gold class medals where you needed 40 kills in a round other than being a giant jet whore

It has been confirmed that the PC beta for Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has been delayed until early 2010, according to DICE. The move is to make sure that the PC beta is fully ready, following the successful launch of the PS3 beta.
As reported from Eurogamer, the move is actually good news as it means that the PC version will be improved on, allowing for added capacity and more game optimizations.
So rather than having 24 players as seen on the PS3, the PC beta will have support for up to 32 players, as well as support for both DirectX 10 and 11.
Full release date is still penciled in for March 5th next year. http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/battlefield-bad-company-2-beta-delayed

Well 32 players is not the full battlefield glory, but depending on maps it should be okay.

I think that really, 64 players is actually kind of pointless. Can you fight 64 players at once? No.. can you have them in your squad? No...
Though it does somewhat neutralise the l337, one killer in 64 is pretty worthless.

Didn't it say there were only 100 collective respawn tokens per team? 32 players on each side = approx 3 respawns each.
I sense that would be a mega fail

Platoons man. Platoons. Platoon = ~30 people. 3 squads of 8 plus commander, mortar, radio op etc.
