What's kicking w/this game? It's my understanding previous Bad Companies were weak singleplayer focused things, with destructable scenery. Is this new one a Battlefield 3? Are there any gameplay videos? When's it out? EDIT: Here's a video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vepiJznvvY0&feature=fvstHoly hell. Does anyone else get an auto boner when they play that battlefield strings bit? DUH DUH DUN DUH DUH DUH

Yeah, that's always the way dibble. But it'll play more like that then the pre rendered trailers. There's no way it'll play ANYTHING like those.
It's possible to play sort of like that with a good squad on a bad server.

True, so long as you stay away from noob servers.
I really hope it can be played like that, because that would truly be epic.

There was only one Bad Company prior to this, as far as I'm aware. It was basically BF2 with a story, which was a pretty good game. Played it on PS3 and apart for the fact that I can't shoot a house with the gamepad, I enjoyed it.
Didn't play the multiplayer (was there mutlitplayer at all?). Anyway the second one looks like a sequel to Battlefield 2 and yes, judging from the first part, they can pull it off like in the video.

Even though it had a solid singleplayer part, the multiplayer was teh shiaaat!

Well good riddance if you ask me. A good pilot could screw the entire game. All there is to know about BF2 for a newbie is that you'll be blasted to the moon every 20 seconds and you can't do anything about it. With destructable environment it would be even worse with no place to hide at all. There are choppers, which is enough for aerial combat I suppose.

planes were never a good thing anyway. I appreciate they were hard to master and they added many amusing times of looking up and going ooooh sheeeeeeet when you can actually see the bomb just a few metres above you. But the main problem was there was no way to retaliate, a decent pilot was invincible to all but an equally decent pilot and then they'd just engage in dog fights all round. The game basically only worked when the air forces were balanced because if one team had air superiority they'd spend the entire round raping everyone. Exactly like real life but it just annoys the infantry players.
I am a tank driver myself and a lot more vulnerable to ground forces, anyone half decent can at least fuck my tank up enough to make me drive home. Infantry only servers are for babies admittedly but if theres anyone to blame for all the whiny infantrymen its the plane pilots (Also i hate them for blowing up my tank).
