I think more customs should just be reskins of old maps. Do an alpine version of CP well or something. It'll be different to look at, but the gameplay will still be solid. WE ALL WIN.

Yes, I hated that map thats just a gravelpit reshuffle, I don't need 15 gravelpit reskins I hate the map enough already. Maybe the official maps could come with 2 textures lists or something that get rotated, at least it would still be clear what map you are playing by the name then.

Yes. I've played a few Gravelpit clones. Not again, thanks.

However, weather changes, like many RTS games have for maps, are fine Cheesy do that for some of the great original maps would be cool. Gives them a seasonal feel!

Or daytime/nighttime maps like Harvest. Wouldn't work equally well for all maps, but you could do some neat stuff with a good nighttime lighting.
