When I get fed up I remind myself of my previous job where I worked on a trade counter open to the elements all year round.  This is more of an ongoing project I have been putting off for months but will hopefully earn me lots of commission in the long run.

Its cell protection - simply look in the options (you can prevent rows, columns or cells from being selected, beware, a password may be needed if the worksheet is "locked").
