get goty from amazon, and then you need to mod it up the bum. The standard difficulty is for wusses, its balanced for rushing the main story, if you intend to do any sidequests whatsoever you need the community patches.

Also, you should probably get Broken Steel so you can carry on doing all the huge number of side-quests after you finish the main plotline. Because you'll really really want to, and will be disappointed if the game ends with half the places not visited/quests not done!

I'm actually replaying this game, it is still amazing, better even than Dragon Age, it just has so much soul to it.

GOTY edition of this is on Steam for £15...I just bought it as I haven't played the DLC and it'd cost more then £15 to get the DLC seperatly  . In other news, I have a copy of Fallout 3 going spare . edit - Oh yeah, and the new ones up for pre-order, treated myself to that too. |

make sure you get those mods hzza bethesda are so damn poor on polish. I have the dlc and its cool but the increased level cap screws the balance harder. I reached level 30 fast because i explores everywhar. But that meant random encouters with 2x deathclaw or 2xsentrybot and for some unknown stupid goddamn reason bethesda didnt update the npcs to level up to level 30 so they cap at 20 and get their assholes torn out through their mouth. This was also the point in the game i learnt the console commands for ressing npcs

Should I get this GOTY edition? Is it going to suck on my PC (9600GT, AMD X2 620) ? Will they eventually end up bundling New Vegas with it, making a multipack that I will consider affordable, but containing too many gameplay hours for me to ever play?

Get the GOTY mate, the individual DLC's are like £5-6 each and are a pain in the arse to get a hold of...Big savings are had in this bundle, plus, if you haven't played F3 yet, you really really should! Despite all the haters hating its worth £15 of anyones money.

Fallout 3 is in my top 3 best games. It just has so much atmosphere, I'm on my 3rd playthough and I'm still coming across tons of stuff I haven't found before.
Brahms, it should run fine on your PC as long as you have more than 2Gb RAM

Lies. They make good RPGs. They make good RPGs once the community finishes them! Alpha Protocol was the last thing they made which once again could have and should have been way better. The reviews are really weird to read though. Admittedly I can't talk about NWN2. @ Brahms/Hzza/Milli- I think it's just one of those games that not everyone gets into. I played it a fair bit but it always felt like something was missing to me. I never completed and don't have much desire to go back to it =/. |
