I need to tidy up some photos in Coreldraw Graphics Suite X4 for work and have absolutely no idea where to start.

Basically I need to cover some white upstands with the brick wall behind.  Can anyone help?

Ugh, does it need to be Corel? (I prefer Gimp or Photoshop, but the technique's basically the same...)

Depends on what you really want to do, you can just use the stamp tool to clone the wall into those areas you want to cover, or make a proper repeating brush out of the background and apply that, you can get fancy and remove the white stands through fiddling in the fourier spectrum...

A preview of said image (or a similar one) would be great, then we can give you more specific tips or walk you through some of the techniques.

I am a corel user. Not particularly good, as  I stick to creating my stuff from scratch (like posters, flyers). The photo would indeed help!

corel draw is not a lot like PS as the menus are fooked and it doesn't allow some painfully simple things like choosing an exact size for your canvas

really irritating last time i used it

coral draw is internally vector based too... you wouldnt notice it cuz its nothing like illustrator/flash

Use ps, its soo much simpler compared with pre-cs versions

Photoshop's not overpriced, there are these magical programs the pixies provided so that people like me can use it. Grin

Though, to be quite honest, it is an absolutely excellent, industry standard package, you can see why they charge so much for it.
