ok then
here goes
SKY HD
1. Buy yourself a sata hard drive, between 500GB and 1TB would be awsome
2. Download the free app - Copy+
3. disconnect and open up your sky HD box
3a. initially there are 6 screws underneath, and 1 on the back, take those out
3b. there is another 3 screws inside on 1 side, the other is held in place by interlocks, so take out the screws and the interlocks loose grip and remove the top
4. your in! now unplug the fan header and hard drive cables, take out the 4 screws holding the hdd caddy in place, and then the 4 holding the hard drive to the caddy (one of the screws is hidden by a "your voiding your warrenty" sticker)
5. you got your hard drive, now plug that and your new one into your computer, (i had to do it internally with sata cables/psu cables, but if you got a couple of caddies, you can do it on there) and run the copy+ app you downloaded, this lets you save all of your movies/recordings and formats the hard drive in the right file system
6. once thats done, take your new hard drive and put it in the caddy, screw everything back together and hook it back up
7. wait 10 mins before turning it on
8. turn it on and try to fill it up
