And I doubt I am going to have the spare cash to get it running. I have a seccond PC but it is not good enough to run TF2, so I might have to be absent for a little while. It might be the motherboard or the processor, it's wierd because it dose not even give me any warning beeps when you turn it in, just silence.

Rather than replace one and find out the other is broken I'll just save up and get myself a dual or quad core.

So yeah, I'll come on the forums and stuff, just not on the server for a little while.

Does the PSU start up?  Or do you even make it to BIOS (i.e. black background + white text on the screen?), we may be able to help and provide some tips on what you need to replace

you could have just blown the psu, easily fixable with minimal costs

or just some loose cables or something

or maybe the battery inside is dead

my suggestion: make yourself about 10 pints of jelly...this is how it's done...

1. go to the shop
2. buy lots of packs of jelly (10 required for 10 pints) (flavour variations down to preference)
3. go home
4. boil the kettle repeatedly
5. meanwhile, take all of the jelly blocks out of thier packaging and break up (feel free to eat one or two, or a pack) and place into a 10 pint container
5. add 5 pints of boiling water and stir until the jelly dissolves
6. add 5 pints of cold water
7. leave to cool (or optionally when room temperature, chill in a refridgerator)
8. leave for 2 hours to set

once you have your jelly, you can eat it.

i hope this helps i know it worked for me when i was having a similar problem.

No, there is no Bios loadup screen, the monitor gets 0 output from the computer. Yes, the fans fuire up, as dose the HDD and the CD drive. I also tried taking out the graphics card and tried the onboard, but to no avail. I checked the ram, but to be honest if it was the ram it would give the tall tale warning beep.

I have unplugged every cable, taken out the CPU, tried a diferant monitor, nothing works.

It's the Mobo, i've recently had the same problem.

Try pluging in your on-board speaker, so you can hear which error your BIOS is giving you.

if your willing to build it your self you can make a whole rig for around 300 quid that will run tf2 maxed out (not the aa... but thats for hardcore rigs lol)

youll get a dual core intel for about that, a dx10 card and 4 gigs of ram (wont be the top stuff but will do the trick)

and you will wanna make sure you got a 64 bit version of your os... either xp or vista will do but id recommend vista with SP1 installed... its mega secure and stable now (although you still get the annoying conformation messages ha)
