There are still games left over from last week but are there any others that could be included? Remember to say if a game is on a free weekend or a free trial period.
Poll is now open. These are the games.
Natural Selection 2 Blacklight Retribution Planetside 2 Chivalry: Medieval Warfare CS:S gungame

I'm assuming there aren't any offers/trials/discounts going on.
If no-one has any new games they fancy, I'll just go with suggestions made in the previous weeks.

I figure something will come up on Thursday knowing our luck. Other than that, going with the remaining suggestions sounds good; against my own suggestion in the backoffice thread I think I'd prefer Natural Selection 2 available again in this weeks poll; that is, if there are no objections.

It does make sense that if a game is popular and people obviously want to play it, it gets back on the list.

Dost thou prate, rogue? (that's a vote for chivalry)
Is there a way to know beforehand if a game is going to have a free weekend by the way?

Voting is open.
And no, we weren't quite sure when free weekends are announced. Is it any day in particular? If so, then maybe we could hold the poll so we can include it

Normally it is 18:00h Thursday (when the weekend starts according to Valve) but I was hoping someone knew of some forgotten place on the internet where we could get that info earlier.

Hmm....Valve hasn't planned that very well. To set the poll for that would give us only about 2 days to vote

Would we need more than 2 days? Is it really too much to ask to visit this forum once a day?

I think in the event of a free weekend popping up we might make an executive decision to play that instead of whatever is winning the vote. I guess if the vote is close (no overwhelming majority) or there aren't that many votes then we might switch to the free game instead if it's something that might be popular.

That might be the best option.
If the poll went up on Thursday evening for all games that might be leaving it a bit late. For starters it's leaving a very narrow window for posting. Then, say, the result is out on Saturday evening, that gives only a day perhaps for any downloading. Again a bit tight.
But then again, I'm not sure if bumping a game in the lead for a free weekend game is necessarily fair either.
Maybe every week there could be a blind choice = Steam Offer Game. If the game that week is really good everyone then has the option of changing their vote and going for it.
(though because sometimes I don't pay attention to these things, if it's me doing the poll then I might need to be told)

I think a late vote is fairer than an "executive" decision. Theres only about 10 of us involved and ending the vote saturday should be enough time for people to sort stuff. Or make it simple and end the vote at fragfest. Is there anyone involved who cant download a game in 24 hours?

The vote ends about Fragfest anyway.
I like my idea but it would probably end up getting confusing.
If it goes up on Thursday, it would have to be closed Saturday evening. One day of voting isn't really enough to allow for people to forget, not be around etc
To be honest though, I've got a fair idea of what games will be played at some point from what's been up, and so if I'm interested in them, I can buy/download them more-or-less now e.g. Blacklight Retribution which got a couple of votes last week and of course Natural Selection 2
