Really don't approve of the artificial scarcity of it all. This could have been a nice little side game for collectors/achievement hunters/whatever. Given that you can only get half a set per account, and only from playtime this is just encouraging a million tf2/dota2 farming accounts noone actually plays on. And then valve won't care enough to stop it because their only goal is increased market traffic so they can charge their overinflated transaction fees.

You unlock more customizability at lvl10.
But the system is so weird. Just think how long it'll take somebody to reach lvl 10 that has registered just now. Like 90% of the XP sources can't be used anymore.

well i think they envision this being rolled out to pretty much every game that has steam achievements. Eventually you will be like level 500 and telling steam noobs to sit down. Something I find weird is you can upgrade a badge 5 times. Yet you only get half a set? Why not just give everyone 1 set and leave the level 5 badge whoring to the traders. Theres also foil cards that craft into a foil badge? They need to dial back the scarcity, they've already got ridiculous rares going on to create artificial value.
