It sounds like the kind of thing you should be able to pick up at the event. I remember in previous years some guy was selling USB fans so I'd think you can probably beg/steal/borrow/buy one!

Arrived and queueing now. Spent most of rush hour in a traffic jam on M25 -.-

My internet adapter card seems to have gone all sensitive on me. Got here, no internet, got cables checked, found it was my laptop not their cables, jiggled the cable a bit, internet came on, looked at cable funny, internet went off, jiggled cable a bit, internet came on, I coughed, internet went off etc etc

Oh on the good side, I managed to order a pizza and a raspberry smoothie on-line

To cut a long story short:

We were having a BBQ just as millions of people do all the time all over the world. It was 10pm and we were laughing. This girl came and complained and said we were keeping her awake; at 10pm in the non-quiet camping zone. She said she'd call a warden on us. The WDG contingent didn't hear this as we were in a tent at this stage along with various associated UKCSers; laughing.

Then the warden arrived and we told him/her all about it ('we' is not 'us', we were still in the tent)  and how we'd all been threatened by the girl and how terrible it all was.

But afterwards we decided it probably was time we went back to the International Centre.

But honestly..is it illegal to laugh in this country now!!!!!! Is it? You get taken away by the laughing police!

And then last night it was the pub quiz, 1000+ entrants.

It was better organised than previous years, larger hall, more tables. We managed to grab a table at the front after a gentleman's agreement was made with the huge muscled bloke standing next to us...he and his equally large friend would go to the left, we'd go to the right (it seemed safer). We were joined by BigClan + LtMama and then the UKCS posse. We joined UKCS..pub quiz mayhem ensued (music, dancing, palm trees, beer...oh and some questions thrown in now and again).

Then, we didn't win....but a second UKCS team came second so that was more-or-less the same as our team coming second and hey we'd all be helping drink the winnings. In fact with the number of entrants, we won more coming second than we did for coming first last year.

So it was back to the UKCS clanbox, the keg was bought and in the usual natural progression of events, Twister took place. First fully clothed (there was a great Deadly-Doddy twister-off), then shirts off, then trousers off, I have a strange feeling that it might have been Doddy who suggest that..........

But anyhow, photos of everything will be up later.
