Just booked the hotel for me and Doddy - there was basically nothing left at the 3 hotels closest so we had to pay a bit more for somewhere a bit further away - but we can use the pool there for free and we get a twin room so it's nohomo (not that that would matter, I can just pounce on him anyways ).

Super pumped for this - only 5 weeks away! ALL ABOARD THE HYPE TRAIN! CHOO CHOO

Travel itinerary time! Since I've booked EAS and intend to travel by car, here's the route if anyone's interested.
If I drive by near you and still have a seat I will offer you a free ride to i49; first come first serve.

Travel day: 22nd of August
6.00 (MET): leave home, drive to dunkirk
~11.00: arrive in dunkirk, check in to ferry
12.00: ferry departs for dover
13.00(BST): arrive in dover, grab some fish&chips provided I'm not seasick, head towards telford
~18.00: arrive in telford, grab hotel room, set up at lan, \o/

You might be swinging past Walthamstow. If so, I'd be happy to jump aboard - it'd mean I'll take my desktop instead of my laptop, but I'm just as happy to take the train so if anyone needs a lift more.....

It also reminds me I need to put down more BBQ details and stuff.

Maybe we should also talk about games we want to play. After all we're going to be in the same place at the same time! There are loads of games that the UKCS bods are talking about but there could be ones that we can sort out between ourselves. Deadly is on his hols so we can wait on him anyway

Edit:...oh yes, of course there is nothing to stop anyone else joining in if it's possible!

There aren't really any specific games that I feel like I need to play over i49... I'm probably most likely to play things from this list:
- LoL
- maybe some DotA 2
- SC2
- TF2
- Planetside 2
- CoH 2
- Chivalry

(Why do most of the games I play at the moment have a 2 in them?!?!)

Of course, I'll happily get involved with just about anything over the weekend so if anyone has any obscure or interesting games they have an itch to play then let me know!

I havn't 100% decided on when I'm going to arrive yet - either late on Thursday (after work etc.) or earlyish on the Friday morning.

This is near the campsite, just north of the rugby club

Cost is still £6, tickets to be distributed on the day (to make sure only hungry bellies that have paid will have access to the food!). The delightfully named Nymphette Sparkles will be catering for the veggies/vegans....she's also the one keeping track of numbers. She'll be handing out the tickets from the Clanbox...we can collect them ourselves or I can get them, whatever.

There will be some real ale but I suspect not enough for everyone so alcohol will be extra. There will be a food run beforehand. Currently volunteers for shopping and cooking are being sought. I'll probably put myself forward for something.

The headcount at the moment is 54 people with names still being added.

That would be cool, just let us know....I think spectator tickets are ok but the BYOC (gaming) tickets are almost sold out.

By the way anyone from here is welcome to come to the Friday BBQ (don't know if anyone lives near). It's not in the Hall so i49 tickets aren't needed. Again just let me know.
