I checked out BIONIC DUES(TM) after reading the very positive review on RPS. Its really fun, has some roguelike elements with cool twists but its mostly about managing the equipment of your robots and getting your HQ ready in the 50 "days" you have in the game (1 day = 1 mission) with scavengehunts and sabotage before the enemy robot army starts an attack. So its basically meta-meta towerdefense sorta? Its only 8 bucks on Steam, has a kickass soundtrack and lots of replayability since theres different robotcombinations you can start with and the city- and levellayout is randomized each time you start a new campaign.

Too bad its not called Bionic Dudes, they missed an opportunity here

I think I'll stick with this one. What got my interest was finding out that this was made by ex-Blizzard devs who worked on The Burning Crusade which was arguably WoWs golden time, just the best continent and endgame content they ever made.

For a fresh MMO it already feels very solid. You clearly recognize the legacy of the people behind it in it. A very polished interface and just overall there are a lot of features in this that other games typically only bring over their lifespan. Theres already a fully fleshed out PvP system with arenas, and full endgamecontent with raids and dungeons. It's kind of what I wanted Guild Wars 2 to be, but that game turned out to be more of a storydriven game that doesn't really emphasize on the dungeon aspect, also the "everyone is a tank"-philosophy didnt turn out to be so good, this goes back to the more traditional system, but puts more emphasis on skillshots and movement.

I do like that they're very open about customization and addons. It uses the same script language as WoW, so a lot of that games most popular interface addons already got ported over. I really didnt like the style over function interface in Guild Wars 2 and the fact that they don't let you mod it.

The game looks pretty, very WoW-cartoonish, the character animations are incredible, I havent even checked out the player housing but from what Ive heard it's very complex.

It seems like this game was made for the WoW nostalgist that misses the old times when Burning Crusade/Wrath of the Lich King was still out and had a bigger emphasis on player interaction rather than going through menus and magically finding a group that you'll never see again. So I certainly feel at home with this.

I got 2 codes for 7day trials if anyone wants to check it out. Smiley Im on Hazak, Dominion Side, the server queues are terrible during prime times I had to wait 2 hours last night, but its my fault for chosing the biggest server in Europe, oh well, hope they'll iron it out.

Yeah that seems to be the target audience, allthough it has enough of its own personality to attract all kinds of MMO players.

I got into the housing earlier, its crazy complex. Much like Animal Crossing where you get hundreds of different decor items you can place in your home and outer garden, and different skyboxes to chose from if you want a snowy place or something like that. Its connected to other players houses too and you can chose neighbors, and from the achievements it seems like you can invite up to 250 players to your house at once. Pretty cool

Does look kinda interesting, but just don't think I have enough dedication/time to sink into MMO's.
Only one I really tried was Guild Wars 2 (cos it was hyped as being the messiah of MMOs Tongue). Was good but problem was I'd only play when I had a spare hour or so, which meant I spent most of it on my own grinding for a bit then logging out.

If no one wants one of those passes I'll give it a go, but tbh, I don't see me dropping £35 on it anytime soon (plus I'd probs have to pay the subscription fee as I imagine I wouldn't spend enough time playing it to earn the ingame currency to pay for it Sad)

I think Guild Wars is fine in its own way, its a very casual MMO where you dont have to sink in much time to see all the content its offering. I just wanted a new hardcore raiding MMO and that game didnt deliver, Wildstar seems to cater to that, so Im more than excited to get to that endgame stage. Plus I dont have exams for another 3 months so I dont feel bad NEETing it out for the next few weeks Tongue

Started playing Wasteland 2 last night. Am about 4 hours in so far and enjoying it. If you're a fan of the fallout games then you'll probably like it (I don't know how they are related...but I think they are) - it's like fallout but squad based, top-down instead of first person perspective and the combat is turn based.

One of the big selling points is the replayability - I've already encountered some "oh shit I can't save everyone" (as someone that normally plays a good guy first) and also quite a lot of "oh...well that was unexpected" moments. The character customisation is pretty in-depth and there are lots of options of what sort of squad to build.

If you've ever looked at or played Dead Island and thought "Man, this could be a decent game if it wasn't so janky and full of glitches", then you should check out Dying Light.

Ill just pretend this is the unofficial sequel to Mirrors Edge where blowing up the server room in the Shard caused a zombie outbreak.

That sounds pretty good to me. I am a bit tired of zombies though... but free running in first person view is tempting

Alien: Isolation is really cool. I hate horror games but this one kept me (and my brother) hooked, mainly thanks to the great atmosphere and fantastic sound design. Theres the occasional frustrating trial & error and the AI breaks too much to not break the illusion, but overall the positive outweighs the negative and I can recommend playing it.

I should probably watch the movies now Tongue
