My STEAM account got suspended today :/

First of all this doesnt come unexpected at all. If you followed the shoutbox I already mentioned my clickandbuyaccount getting hijacked. I had to close it down in order to cancel all the payments the anonymous person made, unfortunately this also cancelled my purchase of Test Drive 2 and 5 Euros worth of Steam  Wallet fund I made at that time. Ofcourse I already contacted Steam Support back then, but the person dealing with my ticket 1) was someone from the german customer service, which SUCKS ASSSSSSS (and I dunno why they did that, I even wrote it in english) and 2) he didnt know what I meant, still he assured me there was no action needed on my part.

Still, the account got suspended today, so I guess there is action needed on my part. Ive sent another ticket to support (if you want, I can paste it into here), explaining everything (once again) and directly asking to get in touch with the american customer support, which usually answers even within a day and is more competent than the german one, so I guess theres some hope to get my account back, but right now, it just suuuuuucks.

Well I kinda saw this coming, so its not really surprising. It sucks bigtime though and theres no guarantee I will actually get that account back :/

Sounds like the same thing that happened to me - any problems with payment gateways and it's like instant account disable.

Hopefully you'll get it sorted like I did - they re-enabled my account but I just can't use PayPal ever again, did take a few days though.

I reread the whole thread about your situation Deadly. The only thing Im worried about right now is that I dont have access to the clickandbuyaccount anymore. They had to delete it in order to cancel the payments.

That said they allowed me to make a new account with the same emailadress (which I will do, will take a few days though to verify my bank account), so maybe Valve will accept that if it comes to complete the pending payment.

Well for me I know they blacklisted my PayPal account so I can't ever pay for stuff with PayPal again. I guess if you can make a new clickandbuy account then you might be alright to use it to pay for stuff again.

Deadly did you ever report them to trading standards/various consumer action groups? I'm tired of steam being godawful and shitty but haven't taken the shit end of it myself yet so I can't really take it anywhere, at worst I bought DoW without realising I wouldn't get free copies and I just bought vampire the masquerade to find out its unplayable till you mod it meh.

I'm fairly sure the whole locking your steam account thing is because they simply haven't coded to remove disputed payment games from your account (which could be a scary feature in itself). But seriously steam is a piece of shit when it comes to customer service, improving the platform, security, and all sorts of shit. Please someone with a severe problem get mad and tell the appropriate groups :<. Maybe you can get on tv with watchdog http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/ but I think they like stories with more dirt. But maybe they will think oh gamez thats trendy we can talk to young people wooo.

Good news! I can login again, got a response from the support saying that there was a mistake and that they removed the suspension. All they did was remove the wallet funds and TDU2 which I couldnt care less about.

So, for once, the support did its job (in THIS case)
