I found it was a decent enough change up from a 4850 but I'm not sure about 2 4870s. Maybe if you buy 2 and want some DirectX 11 goodness.

Thats is not 2 4870's btw it's the single PCB twin gpu outfit. I had one and it's about comparable to the 5870 I have now in terms of performance.
