This. I dont care about a good story in shooters, that belongs to RPG and other shizz. Homefront is a good example. Has a cool story but horrible gameplay. |

the thing i find most shocking about these videos is not that its showing off lame singleplayer. its that the combat voice scripting is repeatedly going off amidst all the scripted chatter and making stuff weird, and that nothing ever happens except chit chat. Its as if soldiering was all about banter and talking about shooting the mens... I had low expections/do not cares about the SP these videos are so bad they've lowered my expectations for SP further whilst irritating me on many levels. Its not like its going to stop me buying the game though because deep down I know its full of tanks, and all I want is some tanks in my pants.

Usually I find that all the scripted stuff crumbles, as soon as you stand two steps further left than the developers appreciated. Not only in this game, but in general. COD tries to go around this by boxing you in between two dumbass teammates sometimes which makes me rage even more... If you want to show me something epic, make it a dynamic event and make me cause it.  |

Well to be fair, Dice has got a really good non scripted banter engine which they use for the multi. MW1 had a decent one, but it wasn't utilised in the multi at all.
Either way, yeah these videos are a fucking snoozeville.

So far, I'd buy it even for single player. Just looks too damn good to avoid.... yes, I'm superficial, but this looks like nothing else I've seen. Any why would I want multiplayer when people like Dibble or Geezer will just snipe me as I leave spawn?  (at least not with arrows though, although I wouldn't put that past the US military, maybe a very long range knife throw instead  ) |
