This is something that's quite close to home as prostate cancer is something that runs on my father's side of the family.

Mrs Bystander won't let me grow a mustache and I doubt it would go down well at my new job.... plus it grows in ginger.

Mama, if you grow a beard/mustache for a couple of weeks then shave it off (it will itch like hell) when it grows back again it will grow back thicker.

Prostate cancer is not nice, one of my former colleagues had it, he was caught in time but it was still not pleasant.  He was off work for 6 months and took him nearly a year to fully recover his bowel and urinary functions (something I didn't really want to be told whilst I was eating my lunch, together with details of what he had to go through to get an erection).
