Hey everyone,

My name is Callum, I'm 18 and I hail from Dundee, Scotland (Woop woop). I'm currently a full-time Scots Law student at the University of Dundee, but don't let that fool you because although it's full-time I'm only in uni for about 9-11 hours and week so apart from all the reading I have to do it's quite the skive.

Aswell as playing TF2 I also love taking part in my uni rugby, volleyball and athletics clubs but those are not the limits to sports I like to partake in, I'm generally a very athletic guy so I'll have a stab at anything. I also love drinking (yes typical boozer Scotsman), but only if it's with friends from my course, old high school or sports clubs, otherwise it gets a bit boring. I began teaching myself to play guitar last year and now I am working on getting a couple of acoustic sets finished so I can do some pub acoustic nights.

I think what is most interesting about me is that I have a really strong heart for Uganda, a country in East Africa that has been torn apart by a 25 year long civil war where children are being abducted in their sleep to fight for a rogue army known as the LRA. In January of this year I embarked on a long journey to San Diego, CA to become a full-time volunteer for a non-profit called 'Invisible Children'. I -along with 60 other people- travelled around America (me and my 3 other teammates did Virginia, N. Carolina, Tennesse, parts of S. Carolina, Kentucky and Texas) presenting life-changing documentaries about the personal stories of former child soldiers and Western school/university students who go over to experience the situation for themselves first hand. It was the most incredible experience I have ever had and even now I'm back in the UK I still do similar presentations to schools and uni societies, not only because I myself have met these former child soldiers and heard first hand their horrific stoires, but because one of my dear friends on other team travelling the US (at the same time I was) went to Uganda to spend time with the people affected by this war. Tragically whilst he was watching the World Cup Final in the city of Kampala two terrrorists got into the rugby pitch where everyone was packed to watch the game and detonated their suicide bomb packs. My friend Nate was instantly killed, so now I do what I do to continue his legacy.

Well that's all I really have to say about me, I hope you guys will enjoy playing with me on the TF2 Sever. I have certainly enjoyed playing with those of you who I have already met.

Hi Callum, noticed you had joined the forums and saw you on the server last night. Nice of you to make an intro post (if you don't mind I will move your thread to the introduce yourself board as that's generally the best place for it).

With regards to membership, we are an invite only clan so the best thing to do is to become a regular player on the server, chat with us in-game and browse & post on the forums. If we think you'd be a good fit to the clan then we may ask you to submit an application and then you'll go through a trial with us.

Hopefully you've read the 'about the clan' and 'join us' information from the links on the left but that's a good place to learn a bit more about us.

Have you got any info about this Invisible Children org, would be cool to do some reading on them at some point? Also, terrible news about your friend, really sorry to hear that, must've been tough times.

As for joining the clan, thanks for your interest but we're not activly recruiting at this moment in time. If you stick around on the forums and servers and join in with all the banter (ie, knob gags) you'll get yourself noticed though, which will definatly help your chances of being asked in. We generally recruit on personality rather then ability, so even if you've only ever played 5 hours of engie, you can get in if you can survive a night of Nineblades penis puns.

Stick around, get to know people and just have fun. Also, might be worth signing up to the WDG and T-Regs Steam groups to be kept in the loop of anything fun we're up to. Hzza, if you wanna find out more then we have an absolutely BEAST website it's just www.invisiblechildren.com, there are a bunch of trailers for our full length documentary films on there, lots of reading about our aims and programs on the ground in Uganda, details of our finances and all that shabang. Definitely go check it out, it's some really nice interactive surfing.
