I've been having the Yogscast running in the background for the last week, and I would really love to try SMP with their (current?) MoonQuest Mod pack.
Vanilla Minecraft has become very stale for me and for singleplayer these mods have just too much content to explore alone I feel.
But I might just end up finding a random server.

I've setup an instance running 2838RR-YOGS (get it via ATLauncher) at home. It's running beyond the memory limit of the machine (the server only has 1GB, minecraft uses 1.5GB after startup), so don't expect performance to be stellar. If it works at all I'll try if I can find some more DDR2 800 RAM. Should be doable, just CBA right now.

Ask me in steam for the hostname, and for a whitelist entry. Smiley

€dit: If it turns out to not be working via my DSL, I might rent a vServer (jeez, Minecraft hosting is way overpriced...)

If anyone is still interested in Yogscast pack play, my server at home has been upgraded to 2.8.3.10.

Since the status of that server is "beta testing" at best, it's members only for the moment (well, there's got to be a perk for joining up). OK, it's not strictly members only, everyone that's posted their details in the "hawt's server" thread has been whitelisted. If you're in there but not a member, feel free to pester someone who is. Wink

The members can find the server address in the other thread in the other forum.

I have left it running pretty much 24/7 since the initial announcement. Been playing quite a bit and marvelling at the sheer possibilities. Smiley

Oh and I remembered I had some 2gigs of ram stuffed in a computer I don't currently use, so it should be fairly comfortable now ram-wise.
It may go down once in a while (it usually did for me when I was changing from/to the nether, but I hope the additional ram sorted that now), but is set so it will restart automatically.

You eat play by grabbing ATLauncher from http://www.atlauncher.com (watch the video if further instructions are needed), and therein creating an instance of said pack with the above version number, and the recommended mod set.
Once everything's installed, you point your freshly modded client to the address mentioned in the internal thread (or write me a pm).

Then you can has.

Oh, I probably forgot the most important feature: IT HAS HATS!
